The shirt says it all, Never Settle. Love working out at the home gym, no distractions, no other people, just loud music and go time (and two bulldogs as lifting partners). Fueled by @strom_sports_nutrition_us @strom_sports_nutrition supplements it always makes for a great part of my day no matter how shit the rest is. Love being able to have a private space to lift. In a time where gyms are becoming more and more shit, with rare exception, it’s a perfect oasis.
Something often overlooked but so crucial is mobility and stability. What exactly do you need to complete your sport, how much is too much of the wrong thing? How do you get better at the right thing and what to prioritize? Sure you can find examples if you look far and wide but those outliers are not relevant unless you are one of them! It’s something crucial to remember as you continue down your athletic path and remember that if you ply multiple sports or opposite ends of the spectrum it will harder and harder to excel at both over time.
Anadrol is so far from a one trick pony, the more you know the more success you have. This is why you work with people and speak with people who aren’t one dimensional in their approach.
Big traps are the real six pack, we all know this. Named after the creator himself, Paul Kelso, this is easily my favorite movement for traps. @teamevilgsp secretly loves them as well despite his pretend dislike for such a movement, deep down, the love is real. Work these into your next training block, such a simple but effective tool.
Finally getting back into real training after being sick for a week. Great leg session done. This was for a set of 10, obviously not all shown. Being sick sucks and is a set back but trying to train sick only makes things worse. I’ve learned over many years and mistakes that patience is key and you have to take a time of illness as a time to recover and reset and let your body get back to 100% not “push through it” in an attempt to get back too soon.
The last part of our trifecta, Consistency, Adherence and Routine. A consistent and dedicated routine makes meeting your goals so much easier. When you know what you’re doing and when you’re doing it, the rest falls into place much easier. If you don’t have a solid routine, stop and think about what to change in order to make it more consistent and how that can help you. Janusperformanceconsulting.com
Going hand-in-hand with the previous post about consistency, is adherence. Consistency makes adherence easier, adherence leads to progress. Constantly going off plan or deciding to change things leads to a lack of progress and too many athletes, then want to blame their coach or programming instead of looking in the mirror and saying maybe I actually didn’t do what I was supposed to and that’s what led me here. Choose the right coach, choose someone that you have confidence in so that adherence is easier, and you know that you will adhere to their plan, make progress, and become better. It’s your job as an athlete to follow the plan. Always ask questions about what’s going on and if you find yourself unwilling or unable to adhere, it’s time for a mature conversation Janusperformanceconsulting.com
Consistency is arguably the most crucial aspect of any fitness or even life goal. People fall short of both conservative and lofty life goals because they fail to be consistent in their approach. It’s simple but it’s not easy. That phrase sums up a huge portion of bodybuilding and powerlifting alike. Consistency is key. Janusperformanceconsulting.com
Very interesting story coming out of the world of tennis. Drugs are everywhere in professional sports whether you want to believe it or not. Also note that Sinner’s excuse was “unintentional contaminated substance” for a drug that no one makes and was accepted by WADA 😂 People always point a finger to bodybuilding, but the rest of the sports world it’s just as prevalent and much more sophisticated. This cold be only the tip of the iceberg on this and certainly something very intriguing afoot.
